Somalia: Mogadishu

DAY 1:
ARRIVAL IN MOGADISHU

Upon arrival at Aden Adde International Airport, delegates will be welcomed and transferred to their designated hotel in Mogadishu for check-in and a brief rest.

In the afternoon, delegates will visit the Darusalaam Park Area, one of Mogadishu’s growing and beautiful Parks. The visit will provide an opportunity to observe ongoing park’s scenic landscape. 

Following the visit, delegates will return to the hotel for an overnight stay in preparation for the next day’s excursion.


                                                
 
DAY 2:
HISTORICAL, CULTURAL AND ENERGY INFRASTRUCTURE VISIT

Following breakfast, delegates will depart for the Hawa Tako Monument, an important historical and cultural heritage site dedicated to the memory of Hawa Osman Tako, a prominent figure in Somalia’s struggle for independence. The visit will provide insight into Somalia’s history, culture, and national identity.
                                     


The excursion will then continue to the Oil Storage Terminals and Fuel Distribution Facilities, where delegates will be introduced to Somalia’s downstream petroleum sector. Technical presentations will cover petroleum storage operations, fuel supply chains, distribution systems, safety measures, and the role of the facilities in supporting national energy security.

After the technical visit, delegates will proceed to Lido Beach for lunch. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the scenic coastline, network with fellow delegates, and experience one of Mogadishu’s most popular beachfront destinations.



                          
In the afternoon, delegates will return to their hotel, concluding the field excursion program.
